Pre-purchase Reports:
I usually carry out 2 types of pre-purchase surveys for you either a Condition Report or Structural Report. No matter which type of report you need I will do my upmost to make sure you are buying a good bough.
With both types of surveys I will walk through and will physical look at all areas of the boat, taking photos which will later be used to report back my findings.
Condition Report:
Covers comment on the following items:
Hull Skin; Structural members and bulkheads; keel and keel fixing; steering gear and rudder; stern gear; skin fittings including toilet, bilge pump systems and pipe work;
Visual inspections of the engine, engine room and related equipment; ground tackle; deck and superstructure
Below deck inspection including comment on joinery, linings, soft furnishings, installed gas systems, domestic plumbing, fire extinguishers, electrics and navigation equipment; rig and quality of sail cloth.
Structural Report:
Covers comment on the following items:
Hull skin; all structural members and bulkheads; keel and keel fixing; rudder and steering gear, stern gear; skin fittings, seacocks etc; shroud anchorage points, engine beds; deck; superstructure.
Other Surveys and Services:
- Inspection and Damage – including Hull and Rig Inspections
- Marine Insurance Surveys including reports on behalf of an Insurer
